How to Use the Power of Visual Imagery to Reach your
Dreams
Saturday,
May 9, 2009, 1-3 PM in Ann Bells Midtown Houston Studio
Do
you ever wonder why some people are so successful or so happy?
Do
you notice others reaching their dreams while you don't move any closer to yours?
Do
you think they are luckier than you are?
Maybe
they just have better tools!
As
an artist, I use visual images on a daily basis. Sometimes I even take their power for
granted.
Lately I've realized that because of my art, I have tools that others don't have.
One
of the best tools I have ever found for reaching my dreams is my vision board.
Do you have a vision board?
In
this class you will make your own vision board. I'll share my secrets about why they work
so well.
The class fee of $45 includes all the materials, my secrets, the beautiful light and
inspiring music.
You'll enjoy the process of focusing on your dreams. You'll leave with a powerful tool to
help you reach them.
Do
you know what a vision board is? Perhaps you've seen references to vision boards in the
movie The Secret.
Maybe you think they're some mysterious woo-woo thing associated with that movie.
Well,
let me assure you that vision boards have been around far longer than that movie.
I have used one since I was a child. My grandmother taught me how to make one when I was
about seven.
Every time she came to visit, we looked at my old vision board, talked about how well it
had worked, and
she helped me make a new one.
When
I was small, I thought my vision board was "magic." But as an adult artist, I
realize that vision boards have valid scientific facts supporting their "magic."
Why
is having a vision board important?
The
subconscious, also known as the right brain, thinks in images. Since it is our creative
side,
it's responsible for our finding ways to do things we don't already know how to do...such
as reaching dreams.
So
it might not be that your dreams are too big, or too far away.
It
might be that you don't know what they are. Maybe you've never allowed yourself to really
dream.
Are you too busy? Perhaps you don't believe that you can reach your dreams, or that you
deserve to reach them.
One
student in my recent vision board class said,
"I've known about vision boards for 30 years, but I've never made one for myself.
Thank you for making the opportunity available and sharing your information and
supplies."
Another
student, Jenny, said
"Really good class.....having all the magazines,
scissors, glue, and thoughtful guidance made the experience well worth the time and
certainly worth the money. Taking time out for oneself shouldn't be so difficult to
schedule, but many times it is. Having a definite time to spend focusing on what is
essential and important and then translating it to a "Vision Board" is
surprising and inspiring."
I encourage you to make space in your life for your
dreams.
Make a commitment to yourself.
