PRIVATE CLASSES ARE STILL
AVAILABLE.
Get the help you need to take your watercolor paintings to the next level.
OR simply to begin to paint.
Consider private classes if you answer "yes" to any of the
following questions: |
|
|
Are you unable to find classes
to fit your schedule?
Are you in search of specific information that isn't offered in the classes you find?
Are you tired of "social event" classes that waste your precious painting time?
Do you want to have your teacher's undivided attention during your painting session?
Do you prefer to learn and paint quietly, without the distraction of other students? |
|
|
|
|
|
Say "yes" to
yourself. Consider treating yourself to private classes if your answer is "yes": |
|
|
Are you a beginner who doesn't feel ready to
join a class? |
|
|
Have you been told you have no talent, so you
feel embarrassed to paint in a class?
**Everyone can learn to paint for their personal pleasure. |
|
|
A few classes can open the door to years of painting pleasure.
Private classes can provide a safe way for you to open doors slammed shut by negative
comments when you were a sensitive child.
Consider treating yourself to your own private classes, on your schedule.

Experimental Surfaces in Watercolor:I designed
this unique painting class and taught it at WAS-H in the fall of 2006. I am making a DVD
exploring the wonderful versatility of experimental surfaces used with watercolor.
If the class inspires you, please ask me to notify you when the DVD
is ready.
Yupo, Claybord, watercolor canvas, masa paper, gessoed paper & other
treated papers will be explored in this class. Working on these
surfaces encourages your spontaneity and creativity, while expanding your understanding of
how watercolor paint behaves and why.
Join me in this innovative class on DVD, as we explore these intriguing
non-traditional surfaces. I will demonstrate each surface. I encourage you to try them and
to pick your favorite one or two for more intense work. Learn how the paint behaves and
why. Play and ask questions.
You will learn to notice carefully and to respond confidently to the
paint. And you will have a lot of fun!
Unconventional surfaces encourage our creativity. Since the paint behaves
unexpectedly, it challenges us to respond in new ways. Paint becomes our playmate, our
partner. We have a conversation with the paint. We play games with it. The resulting
painting clearly shows the joy and spontaneity that created it.
Creativity involves exploratory thinking. Sometimes, in our quest to
become expert painters, we concentrate so hard on doing specific things in the specific
"techniques" we have been taught, that we forget to play. Painting becomes work,
and the finished piece becomes labored. But when we play, magical things happen.
Creativity grows! We become much more creative!! This class on a DVD will expand your
creativity.
If this class appeals to you and your artistic
spirit, please email me to be notified when my DVD
becomes available.
