This dramatic and evocative piece is mixed media watercolor and collage. I used hand-marbled papers, as well as several kinds of rice paper and painted papers. I wanted to capture the feeling of love, when the heart is so happy, it wants to fly.

I have dedicated this piece to Robert Campbell, my beloved husband of more than twenty years.

I extend the dedication to all who feel the profound and joyful emotion of love, whether that feeling applies to a spouse, friend, parent or child. (Someone very wise once assured me that all love is the same emotion--only the appropriate display of it varies with the relationship.)
